Time Flies!

Holy cow! I cannot believe March is a few days away. I hope that means that Spring is just around the corner because the weather in Colorado has been crazy! I am ready for the flowers to bloom and for warmer temperatures.

Today I want to share a Thank You card I made for one of my customers. It was such an easy card to put together thanks to my embossing folders. I love embossing folders! I think they are an easy way to add texture and fun designs to your cards.

Here I used the Finial Press Textured Impressions Embossing Folder for use with our Big Shot. Do you have a favorite Stampin' Up! Embossing Folder?

Now, I need to catch up with my
-February Photo A Day Challenge-

Day 14. heart
Got Love. Yes I do. We made 25 of these adorable mini-milk cartons for my daughters class for her Valentine celebration!

Day 15. phone

This is a photo of my phone. It really should have a name because I spend so much time with it. I love it, I need it and it makes me happy! hehe.

16. something new

A fresh roll of toilet paper!

17. time

8:11pm. The time my daughter came up to report that her sick brother was asleep. That is how I knew he was not feeling well. He was asleep long before his bedtime. Sigh.

18. drink

A glass of wine. Thanks to the cork law here in my state, this bottle of wine that was letfover from dinner got to come home with me!

19. something you hate to do

I really hate when my kids are sick and I have to load them up on cold medicine. This is our last resort. This is how I know my kids are not feeling well. Thankfully, the fever is now gone!

Will post my other photos soon! Thanks for looking.

December Challenge: Brr! It's Cold!

Let's start December with a new challenge over at the My Pumpkin Challenge ! The last Paper Pumpkin kit was so adorable. I can't wait to see what everyone is making with it. The Challenge this month is Brr! It's cold. I live in Colorado and it is usually really cold and snowy this time of year. Yesterday the temperature was 60 degrees. My son wore shorts to school. It does not feel like December yet! It is weird to see Christmas lights hanging with no snow. I don't think snow is even in the forecast in Denver. But, in the spirit of winter here is my sample this week! p.s. I am not complaining about the warmth, just noting that it is odd. ;) I used one of the cute snowflake cards to make this hot cocoa treat. I cut one flap off the card (the end with half a snowflake). Then I used sticky tape to tape the sides of the remaining snowflake piece, to make a pocket for the hot cocoa packet. I stamped some snowflakes along the bottom and embellished the centers with rhi

New! Wishes and Stars Challenge

Let's welcome August with a new challenge over at the My Pumpkin Challenge . The theme this month is " Wishes & Stars ." It totally fits the July Paper Pumpkin kit. I love the options they provided in this kit and all the products too. You still have time to sign up for your Paper Pumpkin kit and to take advantage of the great deal going on now. Here is my sample this week. I made a star border with the different size star shapes from the kit. I traced the star outlines first, cut around my pencil lines then adhered the stars. (I thought it would look cleaner that way instead of having to cut around the stars and get in the tight areas.) The front says Make a and the inside actually says WISH, but I left my camera at work so I will show you the inside tomorrow. Don't forget to stop by the My Pumpkin Challenge today to for more inspiration. We would love for you to share your creations too! Don't be shy, even if you do not have a blog you can participa

Quick Tip Tuesday

I just wanted to share a quick tip I came across while I was browsing through Pinterest. I am not sure who came up with this great idea but I wanted to share it. Using the new framelits  Stampin' Up! offers you can make cute tags in different sizes or add a fun border to your card stock. I am enjoying creating with the framelits dies. I hope you will try it! Come back tomorrow and I will show you what I made using this technique!  ~ Thanks for stopping by! ~
