Stampin' Sweet

To go with the theme Love is in the Air , I changed up the Paper Pumpkin kit to make a masculine valentine card. I don't know about you, but I rarely make masculine cards! I am a lucky lady who is surrounded by love. I have an amazing man in my life, two beautiful kids, a loving family and such a great circle of friends. Yes, I am blessed. As we celebrate Valentine's Day today, I need to remember all the love that surrounds me each day. Even when I am being crazy mom, I know my kids love me and they know that I love them.  I am beyond grateful! To spread some of the love on my blog today I wanted to share what we made at my Valentine's Class. This first card is my creation. I wanted the chalkboard look! I got the idea for the Monster Hugs from Julie Davison . She was so kind to share this creation and how to assemble the box.  Lastly, this idea was from Holly at Rubber Redneck . So, I have been organizing my stampin' room because it is a disaster. As I put things back in their place I have been coming across all of My Paper Pumpkin creations. I realize I need to stop hoarding them and start spreading the love! Since I take pictures of them I will always remember what I have made, right? I think I will stop by the post office and buy some stamps and start sending these lovely cards via snail mail. I know I love getting beautiful cards in the mail, don't you? When is the last time you sent out a handmade card? Here is my sample for this week I used all My Paper Pumpkin items to make this card. The die cuts that came inside the January kit are beautiful. I used the doily that came in the kit to create the flower. I also used the "splatter" stamp from the welcome kit in the background. Just a quick little post to wish everyone (who celebrates it) a Happy Valentine's Day! Here are a couple goodies I made in honor of this sweet day. The card was inspired by Angela Mckay over at her North Shore Stamper blog. I fell in the love with the Hearts a Flutter Bundle. It is such a cute stamp and framelit set. I really like the Tea Lace Paper Doilies  that I used on the treat bags, they look amazing on cards as well, and such a great price. My daughter made the lollipop treats for her classmates with a hand written note on the back.  I am feeling very blessed! These are the beautiful flowers I have been staring at all week at work. I truly enjoy this holiday. I do. I love the colors, the candy, the flowers, and pretty much everything associated with it! I have fond memories of grade school, when we decorated shoe boxes with crepe paper and hearts. I loved writing my classmates names on the witty and sometimes corny store bought Valentine's. It was exciting and innocent. Now I enjoy creating my own Valentine's and writing a heartfelt message. I celebrate love everyday, but today it is extra special! I have discovered my new favorite punch, well for this week anyway, Stampin' Up's small heart punch is so adorable. I suppose everything mini is adorable!
