Happy!

Happy New Year to you! I hope 2014 was memorable and I hope that 2015 is amazing! Here is my final sample for 2014. Don't forget to check back next Wednesday for a brand new Challenge with the latest Paper Pumpkin kit! To make the gold snowflakes I used the leftover snowflake sheet (see below) as a stencil with Stampin' Up's Metallic Gold Encore Pad and a sponge dauber. We would love to see what you have created with your Paper Pumpkin kits! Head over to the My Pumpkin Challenge to share your projects or to get some inspiration. Thanks for stopping by!

More Than Just a Tag!

Sometimes you do not need wrapping paper to make a gift pretty! I was able to use one of the tags from the November Paper Pumpkin kit to make this gift festive! The letters to spell out joy were from a past kit, everything else was from the November kit. I wrapped the baker's twine around the box so it secured the box closed so there is no peeking! Quick and easy, don't forget to write a message on the back of the tag!  I hope you will stop by the My Pumpkin Challenge for more inspiration! Feel free to share your creations there as well. I hope you have a very Merry Christmas. Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Holidays!

Happy Holiday Paper Pumpkin alternative!  I transformed my giant snowflake into a mini snowflake wreath this week. I used the same card base, but I cut off the snowflake flap from each side. I punched out a half scallop in the middle of each flap to make the little window for the Happy Holidays to peek through the wreath. Then I glued the snowflakes around the words, added a bow from my ribbon stash and some rhinestones. Quick and easy alternative for the November kit.  We would love to see your creations. Be sure to share them at the My Pumpkin Challenge website. There are so many great ideas. I hope you are having fun with your Paper Pumpkin kits. Don't forget, they make wonderful gifts! Quick & Easy Bottle Tags

In keeping with the theme this month, how about warming up next to your fireplace with a bottle of wine or cider? I actually do not have a fireplace so I will curl up under my cozy blanket and enjoy my beverage! This cute bottle tag is an easy way to gift a bottle of wine, cider or even soda! I used the tag from the November kit, stamped snowflakes all over the tag, embellished it and adhered it to a piece of Real Red Card Stock using dimensionals to pop it up. I punched a circle at the top of the Card Stock to fit over the top of the bottle and scored it so could hang over the top. You can write a message on the back of the tag! For my sample I used a mini bottle of wine because they are so cute!  I hope you will share your Paper Pumpkin creations over at the My Pumpkin Challenge ! For more inspiration you can see what the Design Team has created this week.  Thanks for stopping by!

December Challenge: Brr! It's Cold!

Let's start December with a new challenge over at the My Pumpkin Challenge ! The last Paper Pumpkin kit was so adorable. I can't wait to see what everyone is making with it. The Challenge this month is Brr! It's cold. I live in Colorado and it is usually really cold and snowy this time of year. Yesterday the temperature was 60 degrees. My son wore shorts to school. It does not feel like December yet! It is weird to see Christmas lights hanging with no snow. I don't think snow is even in the forecast in Denver. But, in the spirit of winter here is my sample this week! p.s. I am not complaining about the warmth, just noting that it is odd. ;) I used one of the cute snowflake cards to make this hot cocoa treat. I cut one flap off the card (the end with half a snowflake). Then I used sticky tape to tape the sides of the remaining snowflake piece, to make a pocket for the hot cocoa packet. I stamped some snowflakes along the bottom and embellished the centers with rhi...
