Stampin' Sweet

What makes you smile? Each month, when I see that cute orange Paper Pumpkin box sticking out of my mailbox, that makes me smile! I love the excitement of not knowing what will be inside. I know it will get my creative juices flowing. I know that I will open the box and smile. In my sample above, the only products I added were a scrap piece of vellum card stock beneath the word thanks and a scrap of Hello Honey card stock beneath the banner to the best friend ever .  It was a quick and easy way to change up the kit a little bit. I bet that got your attention! Keeping up with our theme this month at the My Pumpkin Challenge : What makes you smile? Well, yes, money makes me smile. Do you remember, getting a birthday card from grandma with some cash in it....score! I enjoy getting well thought out gifts, but you can't go wrong with cash. So, how about making a cute money holder for a fun presentation! Here is my twist on changing up the August Paper Pumpkin kit. Show me the money! I glued two of the mini cards cards from the kit together, to make three panels, a tri-fold. Then I cut off an equal amount off each outside flap, so the ends would close in the center. You can see in the top photo, I attached the brads to pieces I cut off, then I popped them up with dimensionals. For the inside, I stamped the words It's Your Birthday at the top. So many things make me smile. My kids, My Man, my lil old dog with his tongue sticking out, television shows, and me. I make myself smile about 80% of the time, I find myself hilarious! Baking and paper crafts also make me smile. It could be because I know that when I bake or make a card for someone, it will make them smile. Making others smile, makes me happy.  Getting my Paper Pumpkin kit in the mail each month makes me smile for sure! The August kit was bright and cheery. Did you like it? Here is my sample for this week. I used the envelope from the kit, as is, but I changed up the mini card, I used a piece of Whisper White card stock for this card. I stamped the dot stamp in Hello Honey. I cut one of the pre-made banners (from the August kit) into two pieces and adhered them under the star as shown above.
