Everyday Enchantment

Right now at Stampin' Up! we are in the middle of Sale-A-Bration as I mentioned here. During Sale-A-Bration you receive FREE products when you make a purchase of $50 or more. Now, I cannot pass up FREE stuff so I have been stocking up on a few goodies that are available now!

I used the Everday Enchantment Designer Series Paper. I love this paper! I know, I know, everyday I LOVE something new. Today it is this paper. The colors are beautiful. The paper coordinates with the brads shown above. The brads are also a Sale-A-Bration item that come bundled with two spools of 1/8" Organdy Ribbon in Lucky Limeade and Calypso Coral. Such a great deal! I also used our new Framelits and Edgelits. So tell me, what is on your wish list this year from Sale-A-Bration?

-February Photo A Day Challenge-

Day. 20 handwriting

This is a love note from my work wife. When we are away from our desks for too long we freak out and we leave one another love notes. Usually, we have very important work to discuss!

Day 21. a fave photo of you

This is a photo of me and my grandpa. Yes, it is a polaroid! I love how I am looking at him. He was the best.

Day 22. where you work

This is my workspace. How boring it looks from this view. I keep all my goodies in front of me on the shelf behind my monitor. On a positive note, I can see out the window in front of me, you just cannot see it from this view!

Day 23. your shoes
These are my boots. They are suede and probably not snow worthy since I never sprayed them with the waterproof protectant spray. I should know better since the sun can be shining and the snow will still fall in Colorado!

Day 24. inside your bathroom closet

Lots of band-aids, my kids love them. Vitamins, medicine, cough syrup, allergy medicine and my nettie pot. I cannot live without my nettie pot. We call it the magic pot!

Day 25. green

My front porch has green outdoor carpet. Please note, I did not install it. Someday I hope to transform my front porch, but for now it works.

Day 26. night

Looking down my block at night with some street lights glowing.

Day 27. something you ate

This was a dessert we had after dinner. It was a brownie with chocolate ice cream and a peanut butter sauce drizzled on top. Me and my guy went to a fancy dinner for Denver Restaurant Week. It is fun to try new food and restaurants. We look forward to it each year.

Day 28. money

This is my daughter's $2 bill. You do not see these very often. My grandma gave it to her. She took it to show-n-tell at school and she put it my purse so she would not lose it. I suppose I should return it to her so she can put it back in her hiding place.

29. something you're listening to

I am listening to office noise. The tapping of keyboards, the hum of our air conditioner, doors opening and closing, phone calls and every once in awhile.....silence!

I enjoyed this photo challenge and I look forward to participating again in March!

Comments

  1. Hi Boni, I love how you did faux stitching around the border of the labels framelit! Makes the focal point so much bolder! I'll have to try that. Thanks for your comments on my blog, too. :)
Have a great day, and happy crafting.

December Challenge: Brr! It's Cold!

Let's start December with a new challenge over at the My Pumpkin Challenge ! The last Paper Pumpkin kit was so adorable. I can't wait to see what everyone is making with it. The Challenge this month is Brr! It's cold. I live in Colorado and it is usually really cold and snowy this time of year. Yesterday the temperature was 60 degrees. My son wore shorts to school. It does not feel like December yet! It is weird to see Christmas lights hanging with no snow. I don't think snow is even in the forecast in Denver. But, in the spirit of winter here is my sample this week! p.s. I am not complaining about the warmth, just noting that it is odd. ;) I used one of the cute snowflake cards to make this hot cocoa treat. I cut one flap off the card (the end with half a snowflake). Then I used sticky tape to tape the sides of the remaining snowflake piece, to make a pocket for the hot cocoa packet. I stamped some snowflakes along the bottom and embellished the centers with rhi

New! Wishes and Stars Challenge

Let's welcome August with a new challenge over at the My Pumpkin Challenge . The theme this month is " Wishes & Stars ." It totally fits the July Paper Pumpkin kit. I love the options they provided in this kit and all the products too. You still have time to sign up for your Paper Pumpkin kit and to take advantage of the great deal going on now. Here is my sample this week. I made a star border with the different size star shapes from the kit. I traced the star outlines first, cut around my pencil lines then adhered the stars. (I thought it would look cleaner that way instead of having to cut around the stars and get in the tight areas.) The front says Make a and the inside actually says WISH, but I left my camera at work so I will show you the inside tomorrow. Don't forget to stop by the My Pumpkin Challenge today to for more inspiration. We would love for you to share your creations too! Don't be shy, even if you do not have a blog you can participa

Quick Tip Tuesday

I just wanted to share a quick tip I came across while I was browsing through Pinterest. I am not sure who came up with this great idea but I wanted to share it. Using the new framelits  Stampin' Up! offers you can make cute tags in different sizes or add a fun border to your card stock. I am enjoying creating with the framelits dies. I hope you will try it! Come back tomorrow and I will show you what I made using this technique!  ~ Thanks for stopping by! ~
