Last of Sweets & Treats!

This is the last week of Sweet & Treats over at the My Pumpkin Challenge ! I hope you will stop by to see what everyone has been creating. Need some new ideas? We have them. The Design Team plus many lovely ladies have linked up their creations, click here and scroll to the bottom to see them all!  While you are there, share your creations! We would love to see them. Do you remember that cute box from a few kits back? I punched out a circle in the middle of the lid, cut back the inner flaps, stamped "Boo" on a window sheet, added some embellishments and added some candy. Boom! It is done. I usually have extras from all the Paper Pumpkin kits! I save them all together so I can use them on different projects. The Paper Pumpkin kits make it so easy to create! Thanks for stopping by!

Sweet Treats Part IIII

Not in the mood for Halloween? You can change up your Paper Pumpkin kits to any theme you want! I think the polka dot burlap bags are so cute. Why not use those bags to make a little birthday treat bag for someone special? I cut the top flap across the entire bag so I could unravel the top of the bag for a frayed look. I used Strawberry Slush Thick Baker's Twine that I had on hand (not part of the kit) to stitch through the top of the bag. It was a basic stitch, I am no seamstress! I also had leftover tags and banners from a previous kit so I stamped those with stamps from previous kits in Strawberry Slush ink. I really like the black polka dots with the Strawberry Slush embellishments. For more Paper Pumpkin inspiration please head over to the My Pumpkin Challenge ! See what others have been making this month. Thanks for stopping by!

Paper Pumpkin Treasure

Ahoy matey! I changed up my Paper Pumpkin this week into a cute little treasure theme, perfect for a pirate party! The gold foil wrapped chocolate coin inspired me! Fill up your burlap bag with the chocolate, add a little pretend map and notes then wrap up the bag like a pouch. This would make the perfect little party favors for your lil pirates! X marks the spot! I used a lighter/flame to lightly burn the edges of one of the tags from the kit so the little map looks distressed and piratey. (I made that word up) I have been having so much fun with this kit. What have you been making? Be sure to visit the My Pumpkin Challenge for inspiration and to share your creations.

Creative Hop!

Hello friends! I was tagged by my dear friend, Jessica, to participate in the Creative Hop. Jessica is the lovely author of the blog  Stamp a Blessing , and the founder of the  My Pumpkin Challenge  (of which I am lucky enough to be part of her team). Have you heard of the Creative Hop? No? It is a way for us to tell you a little about ourselves and make some new friends as we go. You can see Jessica's post  here  with her answers to the questions. Now, it is my turn. What am I working on now? I am always working on the Paper Pumpkin Challenge, of course. I love to come up with new ideas and alternatives with the Paper Pumpkin kits. I am also working on samples and projects for upcoming classes. Currently, my biggest project is preparing for the Columbine Craft Fair. I share a booth with my friend Rosalynda, and I am in the process of creating goodies to sell at that event. I will be sharing some of my projects in the next few weeks. How does my work differ than others i

Hello! Are you looking for some Paper Pumpkin inspiration? Then you have stopped by the right place. We gotcha covered. Each week the Design Team at the My Pumpkin Challenge shares their creations on ways to change up the Paper Pumpkin kits. Then, you are invited to share your creations. We love to see what you are making. Be sure to head to the My Pumpkin Challenge today. The Challenge this month is Sweets & Treats ! You can see my sample above. I used one of the striped boxes from a previous kit, then using the September kit, wrapped some of the black twine around it, added a tag stamped with Boo and orange sequin ribbon for a cute treat box. Fill that up with some candy and you are good to go! Thanks for stopping by!

And the Winner is.....

First, I would like to say thank you to everyone who left kind comments on my project for Craft Project Central. I truly appreciate it. As I mentioned in my post here  one lucky winner would win a FREE subscription for the month of September at Craft Project Central . I used an online Random Name Picker to choose a winner and the winner is: Jessica! Jessica, please check your email for details. Congratulations! Have you fallen in love with the Holiday Catalog yet? I have and I can tell you my wish list is long! So far, one of my favorite items is the Gift Box Punch Board (135863) on page 5. We had a chance to play with it at my September classes. I think it was a big hit! Within just a few minutes we created gift boxes. Did you know that no adhesive is necessary to assemble your box? I know this tool will come in handy with the holidays around the corner. What is your favorite item from the Holiday Catalog? I would love to know what you have had fun playing with. Do you need a

Sweets & Treats Challenge

It is October. It is so weird to type. It seems so soon. I feel like when October rolls around the rest of the year flies by. I need to stop and enjoy each day, mentally I am already preparing for Christmas, but physically I will plan to enjoy the beautiful fall season in Colorado. This month over at the My Pumpkin Challenge the theme is Sweets & Treats , so perfect for the September Paper Pumpkin kits! Don't forget, we want to see what you are creating. Head over to the My Pumpkin Challenge and link your samples. Have questions about how to link up? Don't be shy, ask away. I would love to help you. Here is my sample for this week. Yep, I cut and trimmed the cute lil burlap bag apart to make my own "ribbon." I used some basic black card stock and tangelo twist card stock to make this spooktacular card! Using items I have on hand is a fun alternative for the Paper Pumpkin kits.  Thanks for stopping by!
