Merry Christmas to you!

I cannot believe Christmas is tomorrow. What a memorable year this has been! I know sometimes December can be a hectic month, but as I sit and reflect I know that I am truly blessed! I have two beautiful kids, a wonderful family, a loving and supportive boyfriend and the best circle of friends a gal can ask for! Last night me and my kiddos made some holiday treats, we watched football and enjoyed some quality time together! I love lazy Sundays! We even stayed in our jammies all day......so comfy! We cannot be the only ones who do that, right? Take a peek at a few of the Christmas items I have been working on. I made this wine tag for a friend. I think they are my new favorite thing! Wine is a universal gift and you can make a wine tag for any occasion! (I left the space at the bottom of the tag so she could write her own personal message.)  I love snowflakes. I am especially loving this color combination too! (Soft Suede and Very Vanilla) I added some rhinestone bl

Inspiration Everywhere

Who knew when I sat down to watch the Big Bang Theory it would inspire me to make a card! Well, that is what happened. Every Thursday, My Man and I have a ritual: we have a yummy dinner and then sit back and watch the Big Bang Theory. We love that show. It cracks us up and we all know that laughing is good for you! I love all of the characters, though Sheldon holds a special place in my heart........ Yes, that is My Man. We were at a comic book store and I could not resist taking this photo, and then take it one step further by turning it into a funny inspirational poster! (So glad he has a great sense of humor) My mom, dad, and sister love buying him the same t-shirts that the Sheldon character wears. Do you see the resemblence? Ok, back to my card. As I was watching the show last night, Sheldon was wearing a Rubix Cube t-shirt, and in one of the scenes you can see a Rubix Cube cookie jar in the background, hmmm........it got me thinking. This would be such a fun c

Simply Sweet

I love browsing Pinterest for new ideas and to get my creative juices flowing. While pinning recently, I got inspiration from a very cute lollipop card by Julie Day .  Here is my version below. It is such a fun card! Who would not want to receive this in the mail? It was my turn to prepare a make-n-take project at our team meeting this month (Woohoo Kindred Inkers!) so I decided this would be the card to make. For the lollipop base I adhered Stampin' Up's Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets to some Whisper White card stock and ran it through my big shot using the Circles #2 Original Die. I started my spiral using Cherry Cobbler Bakers Twine in the center of the circle and worked my way out. It takes a few minutes to complete this part but it is totally worth it! I bought a package of Wilton Lollipop Sticks at Michaels and then tied a bow around it to finish it off. Let me know if you make this card! We had discussions of what size circle to use for the base, my preferenc

Woodgrain Fun

I just wanted to share this masculine card with you before the weekend! I really like the new Woodgrain Textured Impression Embossing Folder from the Holiday Catalog.  I did not have to embellish this card too much because the woodgrain added the perfect amount of texture.  I have a feeling I will be using this embossing folder a lot! Have a great weekend. Summer Happens!

Whew! Summer came and went in the blink of an eye. I was on the go all summer and I loved it! From birthdays celebrations, to baseball games, softball games, family vacations, and the Stampin' Up Convention my summer was booked! Then summer ended and school began. I am not sure how I ended up being a mother to a 4th grader and a 6th grader already, but it is real. I shed some tears, happy tears, just realizing how fast kids grow up. It is a great reminder to cherish every moment with our kids! Here is a quick photo recap of my summer: We made some great memories this summer! In the meantime, I promise I have been creating cards! I have not even had a chance to discuss the new Holiday Catalog with everyone! Yikes, I am in love with all the new products. This catalog is awesome. My wish list is huge. Here is my top five (for today anyway): 1. The Ornament Keepsakes Bundle (Page 3) I love the bundles they have in this catalog! This bundle includes the Ornament Keepsake

Quick Tip Tuesday

Today's tip is using Stampin' Up's Big Shot Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets . Have you ever used this wonderful product? It can be easily overlooked with all the other great things that Stampin' Up! offers. I love these adhesive sheets. They are 12"x12" and 12 sheets come in each package. Here is a quick tip for a cute project I will show you later this week. I have cut the adhesive sheet and paper to the size I need for my project. Remove the top sheet from the adhesive sheet. Place your paper on the "sticky" side and smooth it out. Now that it is adhered to your paper it is ready to run through the Big Shot. I am using one of the Framelits from the Labels Collection. It is perfect for my project! Once you have your paper cut you can remove the backing from the die-cut shape. Here is the empty jar I will use for my project. Last, adhere the sticky paper to your project, or in my case the jar, be sure to press it firmly so the adhesive co

Bridal Showers!

I do believe that wedding season is upon us! What a wonderful time of year. I was excited to make this card. I need to make more wedding cards because they are so fun to make! I made the dress using the Scallop Circle Bigz Die for the Big Shot. I have wanted to try this technique for awhile now. After I ran my paper through the Big Shot and had my scallop circle I snipped away a portion of the scallops on both sides to create a dress. It is so easy! I have seen this idea many times. This dress would also be cute as a princess dress or sweet sixteen dress. I embossed the bottom portion of the dress in my Big Shot, added some flowers and ribbon to the dress and of course I could not forget to add some  rhinestone bling! I also painted Dazzling Details at the top of dress to add more sparkle. Fox and Friends

I have been going through the Retirement List and setting aside all of my stamp sets that will retire at the end of the month because I have to make room for new ones! Woohoo! I am excited for the new Stampin' Up! catalog to be revealed. Do you want to see the new catalog when it is available? Send me an email with your contact information and I will send you one. Fox and Friends is one of my favorite stamp sets that is on the retirement list. I love making baby cards with this set. The little animals are very adorable! Who can resist that monkey? Buttons and ribbon, the perfect embellishment! Also, here is a quick wrap of my April Photo A Day pictures! I love participating in this challenge hosted by Fat Mum Slim ! As you can see, I spend a lot of my time at little league baseball games! I am also missing the photo for the sunset on day 15, it was rainy that day and I did not see the sun. My daughter has joined in on the fun! She looks forward to lo

Fun Flowers

Just when I think spring has finally arrived here in Denver we start getting summer-like weather! It was raining last week and today is it supposed to reach 87 degrees. I prefer the temperature to rise gradually but Mother Nature has other plans for us. That is ok though, I am loving all the pretty flowers that are blooming! Flowers are great inspiration for card making! Today I want to share this fun card I made to swap at our team meeting. Yes, the main focal point here is a flower. I made the flower with the Fun Flowers die and the Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer Punch and added a pearl to the center. I also made a frame with the Oval Scallop Frame die and then ran it through my Big Shot in the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder to add some texture. I used dimensionals to "pop up" the frame, added a little bow to the top and I was done. This card is perfect for Mother's Day or any special day! Here is a different view so you can see the frame "pop" from the

April Challenge Photos

I have been participating in the Photo A Day Challenges hosted by Fat Mum Slim  and I love them. I know I have mentioned it before, but it is inspiring. It is a little reminder to take more photos. Quick Tip Continued

As you can see above I made an adorable gift tag using my Quick Tip. Here is a close up. I used the stamp set Elementary Elegance to stamp the Happy Birthday and decorative frame. I was able to use some extra scraps I had around to make the banners. I punched a hold at the top and added the ribbon to attach it to a gift. I was able to create a cute gift tag with a few embellishments. It is the perfect finishing touch for any gift! ~Thanks for stopping by!~

Quick Tip Tuesday

I just wanted to share a quick tip I came across while I was browsing through Pinterest. I am not sure who came up with this great idea but I wanted to share it. Using the new framelits  Stampin' Up! offers you can make cute tags in different sizes or add a fun border to your card stock. I am enjoying creating with the framelits dies. I hope you will try it! Come back tomorrow and I will show you what I made using this technique!  ~ Thanks for stopping by! ~

I'm hoppin!

Easter is less than one week away so I wanted to share these cute cards we made at my Easter Card Class. I had a lot of fun making these cards. Do you send out cards for Easter?   I hope the Easter Bunny stops by to visit you! p.s. I love this time of year because I get to eat my Cadbury Mini Eggs! I LOVE these delightful chocolate eggs. I try to savour each one. Luckily, My Man bought me this mega sized bag, so hopefully it will last me awhile. He loves me! Do you have a favorite Easter candy? Jelly beans are yummy too!

Spring Cleaning

Last night I turned OFF the tv and cleaned up my stamp/craft room. It was a disaster! I am so happy I took the time to clean up. I listened to  Pandora  and got to cleaning. I need to swoon over my Pandora station for a second, it knows me, it can read my mind and it played the perfect music last night. I recently created a station based off The Civil Wars , it was excellent. Now, my little room is all cleaned up and ready for some creating! I have to show you these cute treat tubes we made at my March Stampin' Class. They are so fun and easy to make. The idea was from Stampin' Success, a magazine sent to Stampin' Up Demonstrators each month. I was bummed because I did not have the punch they suggested using, but then I came across Jessica's idea and I was excited to try it! These treat tubes are so cute! You can make them as big or as small as you like depending on the paper size you cut for your project. We used the Fun Flowers Die to cap the ends per Jessica&#

I Love Fridays!

Happy Friday and woo-hoo for the weekend! I am looking forward to it! The weather will be gorgeous, I get to stamp and create with my favorite ladies and finally read the last twenty pages of the Hunger Games. How will you be spending your weekend? I thought I would share this card I will debut at my Card Buffet Class beginning next Month! I am really excited to kick it off. Please let me know what you think of this card. This card was inspired by a lovely card made by Terry Kaspari . This is not the exact card she made but thanks to her card I was able to create this one! I loved her color combination and the cute vase idea. The vase is made using the oval punch and then cutting the top at an angle and the bottom straight across, then you pop it up with dimensionals. So cute! -March Photo-A-Day- Day 9. Red- The envelope from our Netflix movie. I think the movie Salt is in there. I did not watch that movie so I cannot give you my thoughts on it!  Day 10. March Madness

I cannot believe we are halfway through March. Now, I know the term March Madness is typically used for the NCAA basketball tournaments, but I feel like March Madness is sweeping through my house.  Spring is emerging, the weather is lovely. It is time to play outdoors, cookout on the grill, and clean the yard. Spring also means tons of kids activities. We are always on the go with baseball, dance class, swim lessons, oh and school fits in there somewhere. So when the kids go to bed and I need to relax I have been making cards. Stamping is therapeutic. You should definitely try it! I will share some of my latest cards soon. For today I will share a fun card that Kathy taught me how to make. I was so excited when she showed me the reflection technique . It is so easy! Who knew that you could create this magic with window sheets, sticky notes and a brayer!
