Stampin' Sweet

I am ready for spring. I want to see my flowers start to bloom. I want to wear flip flops. I don't want to scrape off my car in the mornings. I am ready for warmer weather here in Denver. Seriously, it is almost May and snow is still in the forecast. Sigh. To cure my winter blues I made these fun cards. Bright and cheery. Yes, I need a dose of sunshine. Thanks to Two Paper Divas for the tutorial! This is such a cute card! I tweeked mine to use supplies that I had. (This card was inspired from a card that Shelli Gardner had posted on her blog here ! A box of creative fun delivered right to my door? Yes please!! The possibilities are endless! I based the card above off of the sample that was provided in the kit. Then I decided to have fun and make my own creations! I used the items* from My Paper Pumpkin (and my paper cutter) to make my cards. It is so easy. On the buttons shown below, I used thinly cut scraps of paper (from my kit) as the "string" for my buttons! I had a lot of fun making my cards. I cannot wait to get my next box! Every month I hold a card class in my house. I have an amazing group of ladies who come over and get creative with me. I love it! We have such a fun time. We laugh, make fun projects and eat. I love to eat. I always try to have yummy food and thanks to Pinterest I usually try something new. My good friend Dolores, who is always so kind, usually brings a treat to share. We all look forward to it. This month she brought a delicious trifle. Have you heard of a trifle before? (Not to be confused with the noun, this is a dessert!) It is typically a cold dessert layered with pudding/custard, cake, and whipped cream. The dessert Dolores brought was heavenly. I have been on the go for ever the past month, and this week I finally have a moment to catch my breath!  Every month our group, Kreative Friends, gets together and has a team meeting. We chat, laugh, eat, make fun projects and swap. This was my swap for March. I really love this stamp! Pleasant Poppies (129499) is so versatile, I need to use this stamp more often. I also had fun playing with the Ovals Collection Framelits (129381) from the Spring Catalog. I just got them and I cannot wait to use them again. Did I mention how lucky I am to be part of such a great group of ladies! This month Mary hosted and we made a lovely magnet board which I will share with you soon. Kathy  and Trina always provide us great fun and laughter. We are a great team. These meetings are priceless, we learn so much from each other. It is always a good time! Thanks for stopping by!

Just a quick little post to wish everyone (who celebrates it) a Happy Valentine's Day! Here are a couple goodies I made in honor of this sweet day. The card was inspired by Angela Mckay over at her North Shore Stamper blog. I fell in the love with the Hearts a Flutter Bundle. It is such a cute stamp and framelit set. I really like the Tea Lace Paper Doilies  that I used on the treat bags, they look amazing on cards as well, and such a great price. My daughter made the lollipop treats for her classmates with a hand written note on the back.  I am feeling very blessed! These are the beautiful flowers I have been staring at all week at work. My Man delivered the roses above with the GIANT balloon! The flowers below were from a sweet co-worker! Thanks for stopping by!

Do you love surprises? I know I do. I also have this thing for grab bags. I don't know why, I just do!
