Tags For You

This is the last week for the Tags Everywhere Challenge .  Here is my sample for this week: I used the Envelope Punch Board to make this card. The polka dot paper I used was the cute paper that came in the April Paper Pumpkin kit. It was intended to be a decorative wrap for the frame but I cut it down for some projects. The size of this piece is 5"x5." Here is the front of the card, the heart die cut heart was also in the April kit. The heart shape holds the flaps in place. See the top photo for the inside of the card. It was the perfect size for one of the tags.  There are so many fun ideas! Head over to the My Pumpkin Challenge for more creations. The Design Team has some amazing samples and don't forget to check out the folks who have linked up to share their creations too! Thanks for stopping by! Next Wednesday we begin a whole new Challenge!

Did You Say Queen?

Indeed she did. Queen Isabella of Castile to be exact, not to be confused with Queen Isabela of our household. This is how it went down, "Mom, what am I wearing to my wax museum (this) Thursday." Me, "Say what"? "Don't you remember mom, I told you." Famous last words. Hmm, I bet she told me about this project, but it must have slipped my mind. I will take the blame for this, but the 11 year old inside me silently blames Isabela. Sigh. For this wax museum, the students had to pick a historical character to research and then dress in costume for their presentation. The students lined up in the hall and they would give a brief description of their character and guests would try to guess who they were. So, Tuesday night after her volleyball game we hit the thrift store and the party store for a costume. I was not going to pay $60 for something she was going to wear for one hour so we dug deep at the thrift store. We found a dress that will do the job...

Not All Black & White

Are you ready for another My Pumpkin Challenge sample? I am having so much fun with the Paper Pumpkin kits. Do I sounds like a broken record? I think I confess my love for Paper Pumpkin every week. I can't help it, I love these kits. I think that black and white is such a classic combination. That was my inspiration for my sample this week. I added a pop of color with the hearts that came in the kit. The photopolymer stamps make it really nice and easy to line up your image! Show us what you have created with your Paper Pumpkin kit! Head over to the My Pumpkin Challenge : Tags Everywhere  to share your creation and see what the Design Team has made this week. Thanks for stopping by!

Tag - You Are It!

I was very happy to see all the extra tags that came with the April Paper Pumpkin kit. The kit was already amazing, so I think the extra tags were a bonus! The My Pumpkin Challenge this month is Tags Everywhere and here is my sample. I made a mini card with two tags that I sewed together with bakers twine. I used the Paper-Piercing Tool to punch holes along the edge so I could bind the card together. I used the Essentials Paper-Piercing Pack to punch the heart, then I used a needle and bakers twine to fill in the heart shape. The "hello" banner at the top was from a past Paper Pumpkin kit. #126187 #126189 Show us what you have been creating with your tags. We would love to see. Kawaii Box - Review

I think I have mentioned my obsession of subscription boxes before. Each month I get a Paper Pumpkin , an Ipsy Glam Bag and a Birchbox . My Man gets the Birchbox Man and Loot Crate and my son also gets a Loot Crate each month. The adorable box my daughter has been getting is a Kawaii Box. We all look forward to our surprises each month. Today I thought I would share my daughters Kawaii Box from Super Kawaii Pop . My daughter is 10 years old and she loves this box. As you can see from the photos it is full of goodies. She loves the squishies and has been keeping herself busy with everything in the box. She writes notes on the stationary and has a pencil and eraser collection that she organizes in the pencil pouches/box. The first two boxes also contained some sticker flakes! In the April box she got: from the top, a cute mouse pad, some interactive Japanese candy, a barrette for her hair, an eraser stamp and a cute floral pouch.  I must admit, this box can appeal to...

Simply Sketched Sympathy Note

Sympathy cards are not always easy to create . I try to remember that everyone appreciates kind words and thoughts. Sending notes to let others know you are thinking of them is a classic tradition that I hope never goes out of style. I used the Simply Sketched Hostess Stamp Set. It is such a lovely stamp set. It is only available while supplies last as it is on the retired list . The embossing folder and water coloring with an aqua painter helped tie this card all together.  Thanks for stopping by. Be sure to come back tomorrow to see the new My Pumpkin Challenge  for May!

Easy Peasy Birthday

I do not think I will ever tire of the Pool Party and Real Red color combination. I almost titled this post a Real Red Pool Party but luckily I re-read that and changed my mind. Whew! This card came together so easy. Don't you just love when that happens? The Designer Series Paper Stack makes it so easy to put a card together, but nobody will ever know because the patterns are stunning and they look like a million bucks! I added an embellished tag and the card was done. Fresh Prints Designer Series Paper Stack #132996 I hope you had a great weekend. Thanks for stopping by!

Welcome, Baby

I enjoy making cards to celebrate babies. I am so happy I had a reason to make one! At work, I like to say April showers bring May babies, or at least one baby. We had a baby shower last week for one of my coworkers. He and his wife are expecting their first baby, a lil girl. She is expected to arrive around May 20th. We also tried to guess when we thought the baby would arrive, I picked May 17th. I will keep you posted. I am so happy for them! Here is the card I made: It is my classic, go to baby card. It is always hit! Another coworker bought the parents-to-be the book, What to Expect the First Year, and he had everyone sign it on different pages and give advice or wish them the best! That was such a great idea. We also got them some bath items and a gift card! I cannot wait to meet their new bundle of joy!
