The End of April

I cannot believe April is coming to an end! In my world, the month of April flew by. Bring on May! I am ready for some warmer temps and some sunshine in Denver. I know May is also a time to celebrate graduations. Since our Challenge this month over at the My Pumpkin Challenge is "Special Moments" I thought a graduation card would be perfect! This card is a combination of many My Paper Pumpkin kits! I thought it was a great way to use those fun leftovers. I even used the tissue paper that comes in each kit as the background. Have you shared your Paper Pumpkin creations over at the My Pumpkin Challenge ? We would love to see what you have made. Thanks for stopping by. Next Wednesday starts a brand new Challenge so stay tuned!

Customer Creations

Hello, today I wanted to share one of my Customer's My Paper Pumpkin Creations!  These were done by Dolores. She is such an amazing lady. She is always so kind and thoughtful. I am blessed to have her in my stamping group. I know that she enjoys getting her Paper Pumpkin kits each month. Did I mention how creative she is as well? This is her twist on her Paper Pumpkin kit! She added color to the wooden words and even stamped the inside of her cards. Thanks for sharing Dolores! We would love to see what you have made. Be sure to link up over at the My Pumpkin Challenge . I hope you have a great day.

A Touch of Gold

I bet we all have special moments that we celebrate. Whether it's a birthday, new baby, graduation or a retirement, don't forget to say thank you. The My Paper Pumpkin kits make it easy to have handmade cards and gifts on hand for whenever you may need one! Over at the My Pumpkin Challenge the Design Team shares weekly inspiration for your kits. Here is the thank you card I made this week. I usually try to only use the items that come in the kit or past kits, but this week I busted out my Big Shot. I used the Starburst Framelits die on the corner of the card to cut the shape and adhered the gold envelope liner to the card. I was not much a gold (as in color) fan, until we got this kit. Now, I cannot get enough of it! I stamped the chevron pattern on the wooden thank you piece and glued it on the gold paper. I left this card simple since the gold starburst is the main attraction. I hope you will head to the My Pumpkin Challenge for more inspiration. Please check back t...

Mmmm....Doughnuts

It is time for another edition of Dessert Club! (read all about it here ) We meet every month, but some months I forget to take pictures because we are in deep conversation or busy eating  preparing dessert. I love the ladies in our Dessert Club, we are all moms of kids ranging in age from 10 months to 16 years old. We have great chats and lots of laughs. Did I mention wine, we have lots of wine too! This month we made Ina Garten's Cinnamon Baked Doughnuts . I think making doughnuts has been on our wish list for a year! We used two sizes of doughnut pans found here and here .  We wanted the standard size and of course cute mini doughnuts. They were easy to make, we just stuck to the recipe . We made a chocolate glaze and a traditional glaze. We also had nuts, coconut, and sprinkles for toppings. For the mini doughnuts, some were covered in powered sugar and some we dipped in butter (yes!) and rolled them in a cinnamon sugar mixture. You can see our finish...

Congrats My Pumpkin Challenge Style

Happy day to you! I hope you are well and happy, like that Pharrell Williams song Happy. That song makes me happy. It is upbeat and catchy. Anytime my kids and I hear it we sing and dance. In the car, in the house, in the store. People might think we are crazy, but we are just happy . If you have not heard the song you can watch the music video here . Do you know what else makes me happy? My Paper Pumpkin kits! I love getting a surprise in the mail each month. Just when I think I have a favorite kit, I see the next one and I have a new favorite. The Glittered Greetings kit is awesome. I have seen some beautiful creations using the kit. Of course you should head over to the  My Pumpkin Challenge  for more inspiration. Here is my sample this week. What makes you happy? I bet sending handmade cards would make someone happy!  Thanks for stopping by!

My Pumpkin Challenge and Special Moments

Happy April to you! Did you get your Glittered Greetings My Paper Pumpkin kit? It is amazing. I cannot wait for you to see what we create this month at the My Pumpkin Challenge . The April Challenge is Special Moments. There are so many ways to celebrate Special Moments! How about showing gratitude with a lovely card? This week I made a Thank You card. I made the banner with the envelope liner that was included in the kit. I used a paper doily (from a past kit) to wrap around the banner. I scattered the glittered dots, that also came in the kit ,down the card. The card base is so beautiful, it has water colored stripes in Coastal Cabana. This has inspired me to water color on a future card! I hope you will share your My Paper Pumpkin creations. Head over to the My Pumpkin Challenge for more inspiration. Thanks for stopping by!
