Work in Progress

This week I will give you a peek into my Real Life journal. I consider my scrapbooks to be a "work in progress" because I am constantly adding notes and mementos to them. Here is what I have begun in my journal. On the left, I made little his and her lists of a few of our favorite things. (yes, I actually sang that sentence in my head!) I also have some unfinished doodles along the bottom, I plan to add some quotes too! On the right page, I have the photo strip we took at my cousin's wedding. Who ever came up with the traveling photo booth idea is brilliant! Such a great keepsake for the bride and groom and their guests! As I find ticket stubs of concerts or shows we have seen and come across love notes we have left for one another I will slowly add them to this journal. When we have special moments I will be sure to jot them down so they are never forgotten. I hope you are finding inspiration to keep your memories alive! Don't forget to share them with us at t...

It's My Real Life

Are you ready for another week of My Paper Pumpkin fun? The Real Life journal kit is amazing. The last two weeks I used elements of the kit to make a card and a mini scrapbook page display. This week I am starting my journal. I decorated the front cover and I cannot wait to fill the pages with love! I punched out the circle shape on a scrap piece of card stock and used that as a stencil to make the black polka dots on the front of my journal. (I used the Basic Black ink spot that was included in the kit) I had some of the messages left over from my May My Paper Pumpkin kit so I adhered them to the journal tabs, they say, This is Me, This is You, I Love This, and This is Us. Perfect for the journal I am making for me and my honey! Please head over to the My Pumpkin Challenge to see what the lovely Design Team has created this week. Don't forget, we would love to see what you have made, please link up your creations here ! And just a side note: I cannot forget to mention ho...

The Little Moments

It's the little moments, when time stands still. You can catch your breath and notice everything around you. As a mom we don't get those moments very often. When your kids get older and start to grow up you think you will have more time to catch your breath. Not true. You have school, homework, sports, which include practice and games, chores, and all the hundreds of things in between. The little moments when time stands is brief. Be sure to snap a picture because in the blink of an eye your 12 year old is as tall as you and your 10 year old is in love with that one guy from One Direction. (Am I a bad mom because I only know the name of one member of the group, Harry?) I need to snap more pictures and remember to print them. I also need to get working on my kids scrapbooks. So this little project I did this week for the My Pumpkin Challenge was motivation to get working! I took an old cd case I had laying around and created this mini picture frame. I slipped the design...

Hello! Happy New year to you. I hope 2014 is off to a great start. I think I have the perfect thing to start your year....a new challenge over at the My Pumpkin Challenge . It's all about You & Me or Me & You. The December My Paper Pumpkin kit contained everything you need to make a Real Life journal . It is great. I think it is a fun idea and I can't wait to make mine! For the Challenge this month I used a variety of My Paper Pumpkin kits to make this cute card. I love the little wood man and woman pieces that were included in the kit! I think the man + woman sums up the theme for this month! Be sure to share your creations over at the My Pumpkin Challenge . Please head over to see what the Design Team has shared this week!
