Tough enough for a man.....

At least I hope so! Here is the Birthday card I made for my guy! I usually buy his birthday card.....sigh! So this year I challenged myself to make one for him. I do not make very many masculine cards but I like how this one turned out!


All Stampin' Up! supplies used :
  • Medallion Stamp
  • Pacific Point Card Stock
  • Basic Black Card Stock
  • Decorative Label Punch
  • Natural Hemp Twine
  • Black Stampin' Emboss Powder
  • Versamark Ink Pad
I embossed the Medallion stamp onto the card stock. I love how the black shows up on the Pacific Point card stock. It has a beautiful raised texture and I did not feel like it needed much more. I punched the embossed Happy Birthday stamp using the Decorative label punch, wrapped some hemp twine around it, and I was done. Simple. Elegant. Masculine. He loved it!

    I loved the card. It was manly enough for me. I even set it out on my desk at work. It really blended with my decor. Thanks, boobot.

December Challenge: Brr! It's Cold!

Let's start December with a new challenge over at the My Pumpkin Challenge ! The last Paper Pumpkin kit was so adorable. I can't wait to see what everyone is making with it. New! Wishes and Stars Challenge

Let's welcome August with a new challenge over at the My Pumpkin Challenge . The theme this month is " Wishes & Stars ." It totally fits the July Paper Pumpkin kit. I love the options they provided in this kit and all the products too. You still have time to sign up for your Paper Pumpkin kit and to take advantage of the great deal going on now. Here is my sample this week. I made a star border with the different size star shapes from the kit. I traced the star outlines first, cut around my pencil lines then adhered the stars. (I thought it would look cleaner that way instead of having to cut around the stars and get in the tight areas.) The front says Make a and the inside actually says WISH, but I left my camera at work so I will show you the inside tomorrow. Quick Tip Tuesday

I just wanted to share a quick tip I came across while I was browsing through Pinterest. I am not sure who came up with this great idea but I wanted to share it. Using the new framelits  Stampin' Up! offers you can make cute tags in different sizes or add a fun border to your card stock. I am enjoying creating with the framelits dies. I hope you will try it!
