Goodbye June!

Can you believe it is the last week of June already? Yikes, I can't. I hope you all are enjoying your summer! Have you been participating in the My Pumpkin Challenge ? It is a great website where you can share your My Paper Pumpkin creations. I hope you will check it out! It will get your creative juices flowing. The May kit had so many fun things in it. The Challenge this month was Tags and Banners. The kit included adorable stickers, many of which were banners! I was trying to think outside of the box this week and here is what I came up with: I used the cardboard that comes inside our Paper Pumpkin kits to make a mini clipboard. I cut the cardboard down to 4"x6" and then covered that with some of the designer series paper that came inside the kit. Then I attached the cute arrow paper clips at the top to hold my notes in place. I used the banner stickers that came in the kit to embellish my lil clipboard! I even had some extra linen thread from the April Pape

It's Ok to Brag

Can you believe we are halfway through June. Summer is upon us and it is time for family cookouts, baseball and softball games, running through the sprinkler and many other summer past times. We are creating memories.  How do you keep your memories alive?  Well, I enjoy scrapbooking, but it takes a lot of time and effort. Don't get me wrong, it is totally worth it but sometimes I just do not have the time to invest in my detailed scrapbooks. The typical size book I create for my family is 12"x12." I enjoy taking my photos and recording the details of memorable events. I have been scrapbooking for over 15 years. Fast forward to May 2013.......where I received my May Paper Pumpkin Kit.  It is an adorable brag book kit. It is the perfect kit to jot down a special date, insert a photo, tuck in a ticket stub or your favorite recipe. It is a 5"x5" book that came with so many goodies ! This mini book is a quick and fun way to keep all those special moments

Having Fun With Tags and Banners

Hello! I think I say this every week, but I really love My Paper Pumpkin Kits each month. It is a fun way to get thinking about creating. You are given just enough of an empty palette to create your own masterpiece. This month at the My Pumpkin Challenge Jessica has given us the theme "tags and banners" for our creative challenge. I decided to use the papers to make a gift tag. It was perfect, the base paper I used looked like grid paper and it already had a hole punched out, so all I had to do was cut it in the shape of a tag. I cut some fringe along the bottom, added some of the cute stickers that came in the May Kit and added a personal note. I also stamped plain white tissue paper with the "love this" stamp that came in the May Kit. (The only item I added that was not in the kit was the ribbon to attach the tag to the gift!) We would love to see what you are making with your My Paper Pumpkin Kits. Head over to the My Pumpkin Challenge to see what Jessica and

June Challenge

June is here and it is time to start a new My Pumpkin Challenge! The theme for this month is tags and banners. This week I made my sample using the May My Paper Pumpkin kit. I love it! Did you get yours? Look at all the fun stuff that came inside! So many goodies, this kit is to make a chip board brag book. It came with 6"x6" double sided Designer Papers, stamps, an ink spot, buttons and clips, chip board covers and loose leaf rings and lots of self adhesive accents. This kit has so many possibilities. For my sample this week I used one of the 6"x6" designer papers to make two 3"x3" cards. I had some linen thread leftover from my April kit so I was able to use that too! Head over to the My Pumpkin Challenge ! Get inspired and share your My Paper Pumpkin Creations. Be sure to link up and mention the Challenge in your blog post. See all the details here . What has been your favorite My Paper Kit so far? I am not sure I can decide!
