Stampin' Sweet

I am so excited! November is my Anniversary month with Stampin' Up! It is my one year Anniversary being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator. I love it! This has been an amazing year. I have made many new friends. I get to spend time with a great group of ladies every month (and sometimes a very handsome man!). I have the best upline named Kathy ! She is awesome! She is warm and caring, and quite funny and we work very well together. I am blessed she has come into my life! This year I was able to recruit three of my friends to be part of our team and I love being inspired by them and hanging out with them! I cannot wait to see what the next year holds for me as a Demonstrator. I have learned so many new techniques and ideas. Stampin' Up! is like a huge family and I am lucky to be part of it! I am sooo excited to share some of the Halloween cards I made. I love Halloween, mostly because I love this time of year. The weather is cool and crisp, the leaves are changing colors, it's the perfect time of year to start baking yummy treats and of course there is more to time to stamp. I know, I know, there are not more hours in the day, I just tend to be indoors more often in the fall! For the card shown above I embossed the vellum paper with the Stampin' Up! Spider Web textured impressions embossing folder and then sponged it with some basic black ink. This was my first time embossing vellum and I think it turned out perfect for this card! For the second card I really wanted a pumpkin on the front, since I did not have any pumpkin stamps (Crazy I know!!!) I punched out three ovals and made my own! So easy and simple. We made these cute lil twist favors at my last workshop! I got this idea from our Stampin Success magazine. They are super easy and really cute. We filled ours with M&M's. They would be perfect for your next party. You can customize them for weddings, showers, birthdays or Holidays. I wonder how many favorites I can have? This is another one I will add to my list!

My dear friend needed a birthday card for her dad and I was delighted she asked me to make one for her! As I have mentioned before I think the majority of my supplies are on the feminine side so this was a good challenge! Now, I have "manly" colors to work with so I needed some "manly" embellishments. Thank goodness for my new Spice Cake Designer Series Paper! I have fallen in love. The colors, patterns and versatilty have won my heart! I think Stampin' Up's Antique Brads and the 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon were a perfect touch! I cannot wait to make more cards with this paper! We recently made lovely cards using the "chalkboard" technique and everyone loved it! It is so easy and fun. It is a great way to add color to your card! For my example I stamped the Basic Black card stock using Whisper White Craft ink, it will look very similar to a chalkboard. While the ink is still tacky I used my Stampin' Pastels to color the flowers. It is so easy to blend the colors as much or as little as you like. Since all of the Stampin' Up colors coordinate I was able to use Rich Razzleberry card stock as the card base and use Rich Razzleberry from the pastels as the center of my flowers to tie it all together. This card was a hit! Awww, I love babies! I have a new lil nephew and I was inspired to create this card for the occassion! I also love this stamp set! Fox & Friends is such an adorable set! Who can resist the fox, whale, turtle, giraffe, lion, owl and lil monkey! I see endless possibilities with this stamp set. I need to use these stamps more often! The "hello baby" is stamped using the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set. The words coordinated perfectly with the oval punch and scallop oval punch. I used the Stampin' Up! colors Marina Mist and Crumb Cake. I thought they were perfect for a lil boy! Lastly, I used the Scallop Edge Border punch on a 2" strip of First Edition Specialty Designer Series Paper, then I ran the paper through the Crimper, placed sticky strip along the back and placed it on the card to give it a ruffled effect! It added nice texture to this card! Now, I am off to go see the new addition to our family! Enjoy your day!
