A Paper Pumpkin Treat

Hello! Is it me or are the days getting shorter? I know here in Denver the nights are getting cooler too. I think fall is coming. I can't wait. Have you checked out the My Pumpkin Challenge lately? If not, head on over and check out some lovely creations! Here is my sample for this week. This little treat holder is the perfect size for a Ghirardelli Chocolate Square! Here is how I did it: You can see how I cut the box that was included in the July Paper Pumpkin kit. After I cut the piece I wanted to use, I scored 3/4" and then cut off the end piece. So when you close it as shown in the top picture you have a little treat holder. I punched two small holes at the top for the ribbon and stamped Happy Birthday (stamp from previous kit), added a banner and star at the bottom to finish it off. Thanks for stopping by! Let me know what you think about this treat holder.

Stepping Out of My Comfort Zone

Have you heard of Project Life by Stampin' Up!? This product line was introduced in the Stampin' Up! 2014-2015 Annual Catalog. To sum it up, Project Life is memory-keeping made easy. It is made up of photos/memorabilia and journaling combined with Project Life accessories that slip into pockets. Fast, easy, and fun. I am a classic scrapbooker. I love my scrapbooks. I enjoy working on them when I have time, but I don't have time. I have two very busy kids. I take tons of photos and I am embarrassed to admit how behind I am on their books. Years, lots of years. Sigh. Cue, Project Life by Stampin' Up! It is time to step out of my comfort zone. I enjoy classic scrapbooking. I enjoy spending time working on cute page layouts and journaling stories for each photo. Reality has set in, I do not have time for my old school ways. I took the leap and ordered my new Project Life by Stampin' Up's products. I am really excited to play with my new items. I have photos...

Wish Upon A Star

Hello to you. Quick question: Do you have a favorite item in the July Paper Pumpkin kit? I do! I love the sheet of silver stars in the kit. You might remember last week I played with the stars and I did again this week.  There are so many great items in the kit, but the stars have won me over. Yep, those stars are a winner.  Here is a closer view of my sample.  Be sure to head over to the My Pumpkin Challenge . I promise you will not be disappointed, each week the Pumpkin Team shares fabulous ideas and I cannot forget to mention the other talented group that contributes: You! We would love for you to share your creations.  Thanks for stopping by!

Take a Peek Inside

Here is the inside of my card from my previous post. The front says Make a.......and the inside reads Wish!  My apologies for not having this photo yesterday, I just wanted you to come back and visit me today! I hope you are playing with some Paper Pumpkin goodies today! Thanks for stopping by.

New! Wishes and Stars Challenge

Let's welcome August with a new challenge over at the My Pumpkin Challenge . The theme this month is " Wishes & Stars ." It totally fits the July Paper Pumpkin kit. I love the options they provided in this kit and all the products too. You still have time to sign up for your Paper Pumpkin kit and to take advantage of the great deal going on now. Here is my sample this week. I made a star border with the different size star shapes from the kit. I traced the star outlines first, cut around my pencil lines then adhered the stars. (I thought it would look cleaner that way instead of having to cut around the stars and get in the tight areas.) The front says Make a and the inside actually says WISH, but I left my camera at work so I will show you the inside tomorrow. Don't forget to stop by the My Pumpkin Challenge today to for more inspiration. We would love for you to share your creations too! Don't be shy, even if you do not have a blog you can participa...
