Fun Flowers

Just when I think spring has finally arrived here in Denver we start getting summer-like weather! It was raining last week and today is it supposed to reach 87 degrees. I prefer the temperature to rise gradually but Mother Nature has other plans for us. That is ok though, I am loving all the pretty flowers that are blooming! Flowers are great inspiration for card making! Today I want to share this fun card I made to swap at our team meeting. Yes, the main focal point here is a flower. I made the flower with the Fun Flowers die and the Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer Punch and added a pearl to the center. I also made a frame with the Oval Scallop Frame die and then ran it through my Big Shot in the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder to add some texture. I used dimensionals to "pop up" the frame, added a little bow to the top and I was done. This card is perfect for Mother's Day or any special day! Here is a different view so you can see the frame ...

April Challenge Photos

I have been participating in the Photo A Day Challenges hosted by Fat Mum Slim  and I love them. I know I have mentioned it before, but it is inspiring. It is a little reminder to take more photos. Photos are such a great way to keep memories alive! Day 1. Your reflection - That is my reflection in my dryer. If you look close it is a double reflection! Day 2. Color - Bright and colorful graffiti near my house. Sometimes graffiti is used to deface property, this mural is art. Day 3. Mail - Some junk mail and my Stampin' Up! package waiting for me when I got home. I love to see that brown box on my porch. Paper, punches, and stamps oh my! Day 4. Someone who makes you happy - There are tons of people who make me happy. On this day it is my handsome Man. He is one of the best guys I know. He makes me very happy!  Day 5. Tiny - Such a cute and tiny tag. It is from the Jewelry Tag Punch that Stampin' Up! offers. I love to use this tag to embelli...

Too young to retire - CONTEST!

Well, I am not retiring but some of your favorite items might! On April 15th Stampin' Up will release the list of items that will RETIRE from the current Idea Book & Catalog. While this makes me sad to see items go away, I am excited to see what new products will be available in June. In preparation for the Retirement List, I thought it would be fun to have a contest for you! Here is how this will work: Flip through your 2011-2012 Idea Book & Catlog or click here to see it online. Next, choose  10 stamp sets that you think will RETIRE this year. Leave me a comment that lists the 10 stamp sets YOU think will retire. The person that guesses the most correct wins a free Stamp Set from my stash! Deadline to enter is April 14, 2012 at midnight. This is also a great time to make a list of your favorite Stampin' Up! products so you can be sure you have everything you want on your wish list before it retires. Good Luck! Also,...

Quick Tip Continued

As you can see above I made an adorable gift tag using my Quick Tip. Here is a close up. I used the stamp set Elementary Elegance to stamp the Happy Birthday and decorative frame. I was able to use some extra scraps I had around to make the banners. I punched a hold at the top and added the ribbon to attach it to a gift. I was able to create a cute gift tag with a few embellishments. It is the perfect finishing touch for any gift! ~Thanks for stopping by!~

Quick Tip Tuesday

I just wanted to share a quick tip I came across while I was browsing through Pinterest. I am not sure who came up with this great idea but I wanted to share it. Using the new framelits  Stampin' Up! offers you can make cute tags in different sizes or add a fun border to your card stock. I am enjoying creating with the framelits dies. I hope you will try it! Come back tomorrow and I will show you what I made using this technique!  ~ Thanks for stopping by! ~

I'm hoppin!

Easter is less than one week away so I wanted to share these cute cards we made at my Easter Card Class. I had a lot of fun making these cards. Do you send out cards for Easter?   I hope the Easter Bunny stops by to visit you! p.s. I love this time of year because I get to eat my Cadbury Mini Eggs! I LOVE these delightful chocolate eggs. I try to savour each one. Luckily, My Man bought me this mega sized bag, so hopefully it will last me awhile. He loves me! Do you have a favorite Easter candy? Jelly beans are yummy too!

Spring Cleaning

Last night I turned OFF the tv and cleaned up my stamp/craft room. It was a disaster! I am so happy I took the time to clean up. I listened to  Pandora  and got to cleaning. I need to swoon over my Pandora station for a second, it knows me, it can read my mind and it played the perfect music last night. I recently created a station based off The Civil Wars , it was excellent. Now, my little room is all cleaned up and ready for some creating! I have to show you these cute treat tubes we made at my March Stampin' Class. They are so fun and easy to make. The idea was from Stampin' Success, a magazine sent to Stampin' Up Demonstrators each month. I was bummed because I did not have the punch they suggested using, but then I came across Jessica's idea and I was excited to try it! These treat tubes are so cute! You can make them as big or as small as you like depending on the paper size you cut for your project. We used the Fun Flowers Die to cap the ends ...
