Sad to see them go!

Well today is the last day to order any of the items that are retiring from the 2010-2011 Idea Book and Catalog . You can see those items if you click the button over on the right side of my web page, and you can place any last minute orders if you shop my online store! At my last Stamp Camp we wished some of the old stamps farewell! Here is a fun card we made at my last Stamp Camp. It was such an easy card to make and it looks like he is bursting out of the card! We used Basic Black and Whisper White card stock, Basic Black Classic Stamp Pad, the Cutter Kit to rough up the edges, and sanding blocks to distress the torn, rolled back paper. We also used the files from the distressing kit, silver embossing powder, Extreme Skateboard (retiring), and the Afterthoughts hostess set which will no longer be available. Here is a close up of the embossed message: Happy Birthday (call when it's time for cake) I think we tend to make feminine cards, so this was a nice change of p...

Birthday Fun!

We recently celebrated my daughters 8th birthday. Wow, time seems to fly by! I cannot believe my baby girl is getting so big! This year she decided she wanted a hippie chick theme! All the kids and the rockin' adults wore tye dye shirts! We bowled and played video games. We ate pizza and then cut into the cake, which of course, was a peace symbol. To personalize her Happy Birthday banner I made an additional banner with her name on it! I used my Big Shot and Top Note die from Stampin' Up! To give it the "burlap" look I used my Square Lattice Embossing Folder also from Stampin' Up. I was inspired by Rachel over at http://www.thelittleblueroom.com/ . I also ran the butterflies through my Big Shot using the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder and added some bling with the Stampin' Up! Basic Rhinestones. She loves it so much we are going to hang it in her bedroom! I am not sure what I would do without my Big Shot! I am off to prepare for my Stamp Camp this w...

Poppy Parade!

No....not an actual Parade of Poppies! Poppy Parade is my new favorite color! It is one of the colors in the Stampin Up! In Colors collection. The In Colors are an exclusive palette of trend-savvy colors that are available for two years. The other In Colors are Concord Crush, Peach Parfait, Pear Pizzazz and Blushing Bride. See all the beautiful colors Stampin Up! has to offer here . I must confess, though, I was not sure what I thought about the color when I saw it in the package.......but once I opened it and starting creating my card I fell in love! It is such a vibrant and cheerful color!  Here is the card we made at my May Stamp Camp. I cannot wait to use this beautiful color again! On my sample above you can see it coordinates with the Pear Pizzazz card stock and the Sunny Garden Designer Series Paper Stampin' Up! offers. I know it coordinates with many more colors so I am off to create!     ...
