CPC Floral Purse Card Set

This beautiful purse has a set of six cards with envelopes inside. There are two card designs, and they are both made with the Beautiful Bunch stamp set, Moonlight Designer Series Paper Stack, and Fun Frames Textured Impressions Embossing Folders to coordinate with the purse. The purse is made with Coaster Board, and there are two pockets inside to hold three of each card design and envelopes. This would make a wonderful gift and a great card class.

More Than Just a Tag!

Sometimes you do not need wrapping paper to make a gift pretty! I was able to use one of the tags from the November Paper Pumpkin kit to make this gift festive! The letters to spell out joy were from a past kit, everything else was from the November kit. I wrapped the baker's twine around the box so it secured the box closed so there is no peeking! Quick and easy, don't forget to write a message on the back of the tag!

I hope you will stop by the My Pumpkin Challenge for more inspiration! Feel free to share your creations there as well. I hope you have a very Merry Christmas. Thanks for stopping by!

Craft Fair Newbie

I was in a craft fair last month and I thought I would share my experience. It is a great way to meet new people and show others the love you have for your business. I share a booth with my friend Rosalynda, I think we make a great team! She sews and makes, purses, make-up bags, bookmarks, coasters, quilts, etc.

Lots of time and preparation go into having enough inventory for your booth. Procrastination does not pay off. It takes lots of planning and many hours to get things done, which I knew, I just underestimated. Lesson Learned. I had many late night craft sessions the week leading up to the event. I will mention, I do have a full time job during the day and two active kids. I just need to plan better next time!

In the end, it all worked out and I was very happy. I think our booth was really cute and pleasing to the eye. We met lots of fabulous people. It was fun watching everyone smile and enjoy our creations. This was the second year we participated in this Craft Fair. I can't wait until next year!

Many of the items I used to display my goods were thrift store finds. I will slowly add more items as I find them. I stacked some small boxes in the vintage suitcase and then laid some fabric over them so I had the products at different levels. Another handy tool is my Square Reader so customers have the option to pay by credit card. It comes in very handy.

I tried to have a variety of items like cards, boxes, treat bags, gift card holders, and other small items that could go to co-workers, classmates or use as stocking stuffers.

A rare photograph of me! Photo cred to my honey.

Quick Tip: an empty Altoid Tin was the perfect size for my business cards. I was inspired by this one from kristanlynn.com.  Cute and easy to make and personalize.

Snacks and water are important in case you cannot step away for a long break. I give props to the coordinators at our event. They sent people around to see if you needed a break and they had a cart going around that sold water, pop and breakfast burritos. Make sure you have lots of change and small bills for cash sales.

I am by no means an expert, these are just a few things I have learned along the way! Do you have more tips or ideas to share? I would love to hear them for my next craft fair adventure!

Happy Holidays!

Happy Holiday Paper Pumpkin alternative!

I transformed my giant snowflake into a mini snowflake wreath this week. I used the same card base, but I cut off the snowflake flap from each side. I punched out a half scallop in the middle of each flap to make the little window for the Happy Holidays to peek through the wreath. Then I glued the snowflakes around the words, added a bow from my ribbon stash and some rhinestones. Quick and easy alternative for the November kit.

We would love to see your creations. Be sure to share them at the My Pumpkin Challenge website. There are so many great ideas. I hope you are having fun with your Paper Pumpkin kits. Don't forget, they make wonderful gifts! You can purchase prepaid subscriptions. Click here for more information.

CPC Snow Day Party

Unless you live near the equator – or Florida – you’re going to have snow in the winter.  It’s inevitable, so you might as well enjoy it and have a party!  Here are some fun – and “out of the box” - ways to use the Gift Box Punch Board and All Is Calm suite from the 2014 Stampin’ Up! Holiday catalog to make party favor boxes and a basket of snow party refreshments.  Add a fun invitation and a sparkly snow banner using the Build a Banner Simply Created Kit, and you’ll have the best party ever.  If you live in an area that doesn’t get much snow, or your party is in the spring or summer, it’s easy to switch it to a “no snow” or beach party just by changing the designer series paper and colors.

This festive idea was created by Buffy Cooper. To get the full tutorial for this project and many more, head over to Craft Project Central and subscribe to December.

Quick & Easy Bottle Tags

In keeping with the theme this month, how about warming up next to your fireplace with a bottle of wine or cider? I actually do not have a fireplace so I will curl up under my cozy blanket and enjoy my beverage! This cute bottle tag is an easy way to gift a bottle of wine, cider or even soda!

I used the tag from the November kit, stamped snowflakes all over the tag, embellished it and adhered it to a piece of Real Red Card Stock using dimensionals to pop it up. I punched a circle at the top of the Card Stock to fit over the top of the bottle and scored it so could hang over the top. You can write a message on the back of the tag! For my sample I used a mini bottle of wine because they are so cute!

I hope you will share your Paper Pumpkin creations over at the My Pumpkin Challenge! For more inspiration you can see what the Design Team has created this week.

December Challenge: Brr! It's Cold!

Let's start December with a new challenge over at the My Pumpkin Challenge! The last Paper Pumpkin kit was so adorable. I can't wait to see what everyone is making with it.

The Challenge this month is Brr! It's cold. I live in Colorado and it is usually really cold and snowy this time of year. Yesterday the temperature was 60 degrees. My son wore shorts to school. It does not feel like December yet! It is weird to see Christmas lights hanging with no snow. I don't think snow is even in the forecast in Denver. But, in the spirit of winter here is my sample this week! p.s. I am not complaining about the warmth, just noting that it is odd. ;)

I used one of the cute snowflake cards to make this hot cocoa treat. I cut one flap off the card (the end with half a snowflake). Then I used sticky tape to tape the sides of the remaining snowflake piece, to make a pocket for the hot cocoa packet. I stamped some snowflakes along the bottom and embellished the centers with rhinestones. Wrapped some of the pretty baker's twine (from the kit) around the packet and attached the candy cane too. I used a glue dot to adhere the silver snowflake. Stamped Merry Christmas at the top and added two more rhinestones. This project was fast and easy. This would make a perfect gift for a teacher or coworker.

I hope you will share your creations over at the My Pumpkin Challenge. Be sure to stop by for more inspiration!

CPC Monthly Memories Album!

Let’s face it . . . not every stamper is a scrapbooker, but we all have dates, events, activities, milestones, etc. that we’d like to record and remember.  This Monthly Memories Album, which can stand on its own, is comprised of pockets—one for each month—with at least one card in each pocket to record (with journaling and/or photos) special events.  Of course, photos and mementos can be included or attached to the front (and/or back) of each pocket.  The whole family can be involved recording a memory about something special for each month!  The handy gift bag features a really neat way to make sure the card doesn’t get lost or separated from the gift and, of course, there’s a gift box for the album!  This is an especially perfect gift for a New Year’s party hostess, or host your own party and give this ensemble to each of your guests!
