Share Some Happiness

Yes, share some of those beautiful cards and projects you make! I used to keep all the cards I made because I wanted to be able to recreate it. Then I realized, what the heck, I am not sharing my creations. So instead of keeping everything, I take a quick snap shot with my phone to refer to when I want to recreate that card. I suppose I can make two, but for now, I will take a picture and share some happiness. This card was made from different Paper Pumpkin kits. I think it is great we always have enough in the kit for extras. The tag was from the April kit, I used to two tags to make one long tag. What do you do with your leftovers from each kit? They are perfect for scrapbook pages and to make extra cards. Please head over to the My Pumpkin Challenge for some inspiration. Be sure to share your "Everything Happy" creations. Next week we start a whole new Challenge for July!

Happy Birthday Treats

There are so many fun things to do with the Paper Pumpkin kits. This week I decided to make a Happy Birthday treat using items from the Paper Pumpkin kits. I am embarrassed to tell you how easy this lil treat was to make. I placed a flat sucker/lollipop inside one of the 3x3 cards that came in the kit. Punched holes at the bottom of the card and threaded some of the baker's twine through the holes to hold the sucker in place. Then, I wrapped the twine around a piece of some linen ribbon (from the April kit). Stamped Happy Birthday on the pre-cut banner (from the kit) and added some candy dots for embellishment! You can write a birthday message on the inside and it would be the perfect birthday treat!   Share your happy this month over at the My Pumpkin Challenge ! We would love to see your creations.  I hope you are having a great day. Thanks for stopping by!

Happy, Happy, Happy

Happy Father's Day to all the dads! Especially my dad, because he rocks. He retired from his job of over 30 years to become a grandpa taxi. I like to think it keeps him busy and he gets to spend quality time with his grand kids. Heck, I think he knows more about my kids than I do. Not because I don't care, or I don't stay involved. My dad has the privilege to catch them right as they get out of school. When they are talkative and amped. He knows all the parents at school, the kids, the routines and low down. By the time I get to my kids, they have forgotten everything. EVERYTHING. I am serious. They cannot remember anything by the time I get home. Not even what they ate for lunch. They mysteriously forget everything, until it is time for bed. Then they remember last minute permission slips that need signed or queen costumes they need in two days! Anyhoo, back to my dad. He is the best. Sometimes he is a grumpy bear, but deep down he is the most caring person I know. I can

My Pumpkin Challenge is Happy

I was so excited when I opened the May Paper Pumpkin kit! It has a masculine tone. I think I have mentioned it before, I tend to make more feminine cards, so this is what I needed to get my mojo flowing for some manly cards! Our theme at the My Pumpkin Challenge this month is Everything Happy , I hope you will join us! Here is my masculine Happy Birthday card for this week. As you can see below, I cut a strip off the original card base and then mounted the 3x3 card that came in the kit to make this card. I stamped the top corner with the chevron stamp from the March kit because it coordinated perfectly. This card was made using all of my Paper Pumpkin supplies.  How great is that? Do you make manly cards? Or am I the only person who forgets men are people too and they deserve some love? I am kidding, I do make manly cards, but not until I need one. I think I am more drawn to make feminine or kid related cards. I need to step outside my comfort zone and get creating. I thi
