More than meets the eye

Hello! I hope you are having a great day. I just want to take a moment and say that my thoughts and prayers are with everyone in Oklahoma. I cannot imagine what they are going through. It really puts life in perspective. Each day is a gift! Be sure to hugs your kids everyday and take a moment to remind your loved ones you are thinking about them!    At my Stampin' Class last weekend we played with some of the items that are retiring from the 2012-2013 Annual Catalog.  I wanted to showcase the First Edition Designer Series Paper because I love it so much. It is so versatile and since it is a neutral color it compliments just about everything! I found the idea for the petite treat box on Pinterest. The talented Dawn Olchefske has a how to video and measurements for this treat box on her blog! Be sure to check her out. She is so talented and very inspiring. The next day, as I was preparing my weekly project for the My Pumpkin Challenge I thought the petite treat box

Bye Bye Birdie

This weekend at my Stampin' Class we said farewell to some of the products that will retire from the 2012-2013 Annual Catalog. One of my favorite stamps sets is retiring: Aviary  item #120462 Isn't it an adorable set? Don't miss out, be sure to get it before it is gone!  Click here to see what other items are retiring. I made this birthday card and matching wine tag for my friend's birthday. It was inspired by this card that my friend Jessica made!   What stamp set will you miss the most from the 2012-2013 Annual Catalog?

My Pumpkin Challenge - More ideas

Have you had a chance to participate in the My Pumpkin Challenge yet? We would love to see your My Paper Pumpkin Creations. It is so fun to see how creative everyone is with their My Paper Pumpkin kits! Here is my sample for week three of the Challenge ! I used products that came in the April kit - Seriously. Each week I have been challenging myself to use only the items that came in the kit. I cut the patterned paper in half and then sponged the edges with the Cherry Cobbler ink spot that was included this month. I also cut the (Old Olive/Very Vanilla) label into a banner! I was able to add a couple of special touches to change it up a bit! Be sure to head over to Jessica's blog to see what she created this week! Don't forget to link up your creations to the My Pumpkin Challenge ! While you are there you can see what others have made with their kits. Have a beautiful day!

I love Melon Mambo

I really love Melon Mambo......at least for this week! I go through phases of really loving a certain color and this week it is Melon Mambo. I love it! It is so bright and cheery. It is vibrant and it coordinates with so many colors! Now that I am sitting here writing this, I just thought of some more color combinations that I have not tried yet! Here are a few cards I made using Melon Mambo. I had to make a few cards so they all look pretty similar! What is your favorite color? Do you have one favorite color or many favorites? A couple of other things I truly love is my kids! They woke up on Mother's Day morning and made me breakfast in bed! How cute is that? They each made me a handmade card (I could not be more proud) as well! I am one lucky momma.

Seriously, it's so much fun!

Have you had a chance to create with your My Paper Pumpkin kit yet? I love them! The kits contain everything you need to get started making your handmade projects; stamps, paper, embellishments and envelopes! Do you want to share your creations? Head on over to the My Pumpkin Challenge  and show us your cards or projects. It is a fun place to get inspired by others. Here is my creation using the Seriously kit that was delivered to my door in April. MCP0513 I used all the items that came in the kit plus my own adhesive and paper cutter. I did not want to use the phrase "love your guts" so I masked a portion of the stamp and only inked the phrase "love you."  I cannot wait to see what you are making. Link up your blog at  My Pumpkin Challenge  and share your ideas! Thanks for stopping by!
