Everyday Enchantment

Right now at Stampin' Up! we are in the middle of Sale-A-Bration as I mentioned here. During Sale-A-Bration you receive FREE products when you make a purchase of $50 or more. Now, I cannot pass up FREE stuff so I have been stocking up on a few goodies that are available now!

I used the Everday Enchantment Designer Series Paper. I love this paper! I know, I know, everyday I LOVE something new. Today it is this paper. The colors are beautiful. The paper coordinates with the brads shown above. The brads are also a Sale-A-Bration item that come bundled with two spools of 1/8" Organdy Ribbon in Lucky Limeade and Calypso Coral. Such a great deal! I also used our new Framelits and Edgelits. So tell me, what is on your wish list this year from Sale-A-Bration?

-February Photo A Day Challenge-

Day. 20 handwriting

This is a love note from my work wife. When we are away from our desks for too long we freak out and we leave one another love notes. Usually, we have very important work to discuss!

Day 21. a fave photo of you

This is a photo of me and my grandpa. Yes, it is a polaroid! I love how I am looking at him. He was the best.

Day 22. where you work

This is my workspace. How boring it looks from this view. I keep all my goodies in front of me on the shelf behind my monitor. On a positive note, I can see out the window in front of me, you just cannot see it from this view!

Day 23. your shoes
These are my boots. They are suede and probably not snow worthy since I never sprayed them with the waterproof protectant spray. I should know better since the sun can be shining and the snow will still fall in Colorado!

Day 24. inside your bathroom closet

Lots of band-aids, my kids love them. Vitamins, medicine, cough syrup, allergy medicine and my nettie pot. I cannot live without my nettie pot. We call it the magic pot!

Day 25. green

My front porch has green outdoor carpet. Please note, I did not install it. Someday I hope to transform my front porch, but for now it works.

Day 26. night

Looking down my block at night with some street lights glowing.

Day 27. something you ate

This was a dessert we had after dinner. It was a brownie with chocolate ice cream and a peanut butter sauce drizzled on top. Me and my guy went to a fancy dinner for Denver Restaurant Week. It is fun to try new food and restaurants. We look forward to it each year.

Day 28. money

This is my daughter's $2 bill. You do not see these very often. My grandma gave it to her. She took it to show-n-tell at school and she put it my purse so she would not lose it. I suppose I should return it to her so she can put it back in her hiding place.

29. something you're listening to

I am listening to office noise. The tapping of keyboards, the hum of our air conditioner, doors opening and closing, phone calls and every once in awhile.....silence!

I enjoyed this photo challenge and I look forward to participating again in March!

Time Flies!

Holy cow! I cannot believe March is a few days away. I hope that means that Spring is just around the corner because the weather in Colorado has been crazy! I am ready for the flowers to bloom and for warmer temperatures.

Today I want to share a Thank You card I made for one of my customers. It was such an easy card to put together thanks to my embossing folders. I love embossing folders! I think they are an easy way to add texture and fun designs to your cards.

Here I used the Finial Press Textured Impressions Embossing Folder for use with our Big Shot. Do you have a favorite Stampin' Up! Embossing Folder?

Now, I need to catch up with my
-February Photo A Day Challenge-

Day 14. heart
Got Love. Yes I do. We made 25 of these adorable mini-milk cartons for my daughters class for her Valentine celebration!

Day 15. phone

This is a photo of my phone. It really should have a name because I spend so much time with it. I love it, I need it and it makes me happy! hehe.

16. something new

A fresh roll of toilet paper!

17. time

8:11pm. The time my daughter came up to report that her sick brother was asleep. That is how I knew he was not feeling well. He was asleep long before his bedtime. Sigh.

18. drink

A glass of wine. Thanks to the cork law here in my state, this bottle of wine that was letfover from dinner got to come home with me!

19. something you hate to do

I really hate when my kids are sick and I have to load them up on cold medicine. This is our last resort. This is how I know my kids are not feeling well. Thankfully, the fever is now gone!

Will post my other photos soon! Thanks for looking.

Happy Valentine's Day!

I truly enjoy this holiday. I do. I love the colors, the candy, the flowers, and pretty much everything associated with it! I have fond memories of grade school, when we decorated shoe boxes with crepe paper and hearts. I loved writing my classmates names on the witty and sometimes corny store bought Valentine's. It was exciting and innocent. Now I enjoy creating my own Valentine's and writing a heartfelt message. I celebrate love everyday, but today it is extra special!

Here is the card I made for my Valentine! He received it already via US Mail so I can now post it online

In the close up, you can see I used embossing powder when I stamped the typewriter!

Day 9. front door

This is the inside of my front door. It is well loved by my dog, who enjoys scratching at the bottom when he hears us pull into the driveway.

Day 10. self portrait

That is me and my cheesy smile! ha!

Day 11. makes you happy

Love notes from my kids. Best feeling ever.

Day 12. inside your closet

It is looking pretty bare in there, probably because most of my clothes are on the floor. Sigh. Which I did not show in the photo!

13. blue

My blue recycle bin in my office.

Day 5. 10am

As you can see, this is the inside of my fridge. At 10am I was trying to figure out what we should eat for breakfast. Then my kids informed me they had already eaten breakfast! Say what! Yes, as I lay in bed, they ate a bowl of cereal. I thought, wow, I have the best kids in the world, then I realized the longer they let me sleep the longer they have to play before chores!

Day 6. dinner

I am a spoiled girl. This was the delicious dinner my guy prepared for me. It was a bowl of salad and a bowl of pepperoncini beef. Super yummy!

Day 7. button

These are buttons on my daughters coat. I love this coat and I wish it came in my size!

Day 8. sun

I am glad the sun came out today. It was surrounded by clouds and was very bright. It has been very cold here in Denver. I hope it melts away all of the snow we have here. I am ready for spring!

I Love Mini Hearts

I have discovered my new favorite punch, well for this week anyway, Stampin' Up's small heart punch is so adorable. I suppose everything mini is adorable! Mini cupcakes, mini coffee cups, mini bottles of nail polish and of course my daughter because she is a mini me!

I made this card for my Valentine's Workshop. I am pretty sure I was inspired while browsing all the wonderful ideas on Pinterest.

  • Basic Black card stock (item #121045)
  • Real Red card stock (102482)
  • First Edition Specialty designer series paper (121878)

Day 4. a stranger

I will admit, todays topic was a challenge! I found it hard to take a photo of a stranger. I did not want anyone to bust me and think I was some creepy stalker. I found the perfect opportunity today at lunch. We were at a cute local diner and I was able to capture the unsuspecting table across from us. Whew! I do not think I could ever be a private eye!

Days Two and Three

Day 2. words
This stamp set happened to be out on Kathy's table when I went to her house to stamp with her Thursday night, and I thought they were the perfect words for day two!

Day 3. hands

A photo of my kids hands as they played in the snow today. They got to stay home from school because our school district announced a snow day. They took advantage and bundled up and played in the snow until their cheeks were rosy and they ran out of warm gloves!

February Photo A Day Challenge

I have decided to participate in the February Photo A Day Challenge created by Fat Mum Slim. I am very excited to try this out. I love pictures but I often forget to take them. I think this challenge will help to remind me to take a few minutes out of my day and take a photo or two. I love looking at old photos. My mom and dad have hundreds of pictures that bring back so many memories! My kids enjoy looking at them. They love to try to figure out who is who.

I know I have tons of pictures, but of course the majority of them are digital, so we do not have many opportunities to feel the hard copy in our fingers. So my goal is to take more photos and actually print them out and not keep them tucked away on my hard drive!

1. your view today

My view is my messy desk, where I spend the majority of my day. Lots of photos, kids artwork, and mixed in there is the actual work that I do. It looks like a tornado hit, but I do know where everything is! hehe

I hope you will join me on this journey, or come back and see the photos that I post here!
